Community Relations
At Fishnet Security, community and professional involvement is more than just an event or occasional activity; it's a key component of our makeup, one of our core values, and an integral part of our culture.
Every year, our Founder and CEO Gary Fish commits substantial personal and corporate resources to programs that support, improve, and enrich the lives of both children and adults living in the greater Kansas City, Missouri area. We allow our employees to devote a significant amount of their working hours to charitable organizations, which helps to ensure their growth and continued success.
Community enrichment organizations we support and encourage include: Big Brothers Big Sisters, Junior Achievement, Project Change, Habitat for Humanity, Cristo Rey Network, Sunshine Center, and the Overland Park South Rotary Club.
Among the charitable organizations our employees devote considerable time and financial resources to, are:

Cristo Rey Network
This program provides organizations with an opportunity to provide sponsorship, through a work-study program, to high school students who could not otherwise afford a college preparatory education. Company sponsors contract with Cristo Rey students to work at their company while teaching them valuable job skills in an effort to prepare them for future studies and work prospects, as well as building their self-confidence.
The Sunshine Center
The Sunshine Center provides individually specialized services that enhance the lives of children and their families. The organization has been serving children with developmental delays, fragile medical conditions, and physical disabilities since 1975. In an inclusive setting, typically developing children learn alongside their peers who are challenged with autism, spina bifida, down syndrome, cerebral palsy, speech impairments and other disabilities. Sunshine Center's goal is to prepare children to enter the school system ready for the educational challenges.
